Virtual Health Disparity

Reports From The Field

The primary goal of the HBCU Wellness Project is to leverage educational and service-oriented resources at HBCUs to positively impact the health and well-being of Tennessee residents.

Our Student Health Ambassador (SHAs), in addition to our COVID-19 Outreach and Engagement Cohort, continues to be a partnership with the Tennessee Department of Health, Division of the Office of Minority Health Disparity Elimination. Our outreach efforts involve the work of trained students at the private HBCUs and select PWIs to increase awareness and activities around health disparities, through collaboration with community based organizations, churches, federally qualified health centers and agencies.
